Meet Phil Knowles - Your Liberal Democrat Candidate to be our next MP

Phil Knowles is your local candidate for the General Election on July 4th. Phil is a long-standing community campaigner. Last year he became the first Lib Dem Leader of Harborough District Council in nearly 20 years after the Conservatives lost control in the local elections.

Phil is widely respected by people of all political views as a campaigner with a proven track record of delivering for the community. Phil strongly believes that this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to elect an MP for Harborough, Oadby and Wigston who is determined to deliver at local level and to prioritise the needs of the community.  

“We have the chance to make a real change for the better.  Liberal Democrats have shown that locally that we can deliver for our community. On Harborough District Council, Liberal Democrats work respectfully and harmoniously with the Green Party and Labour to do what is best for our area. I am determined to use my experience to find the way forward to improve the lives of the people of Harborough, Oadby and Wigston.
